Define Your Risk™ is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the Define Your Risk Chrome extension and website collect, what they do not collect, and how any collected data is used.

What we do not collect

The extension never collects, reads, stores, or transmits any of the following:

• Personally identifying information (name, email, address, phone number)
• Broker account credentials or login information
• Portfolio value, account balances, or buying power
• Holdings, positions, or order history
• Trade activity or transaction data
• Any other financial account information

What we do collect

The extension transmits only ticker symbols that are already visible on your broker's screen. These symbols are sent to our server in order to retrieve:

• Historical volatility data (30-day)
• Real-time and recent stock price data
• Options pricing data for at-the-money contracts

This data is used solely to calculate and display VAY™ (Volatility Adjusted Yield) values within your broker's interface. Ticker symbols are not stored on our servers and are not associated with any user or account.

How the extension works

The extension operates by reading publicly visible information on your broker's webpage — specifically, ticker symbols — and augmenting the display with additional calculated data. It adds information to what you see; it never reads or interacts with your account, positions, orders, or any private data.

Anonymous analytics

We collect anonymous, non-personally-identifiable usage analytics to understand how the extension is used and to improve the product. This includes events such as which brokers are detected and when VAY™ columns are displayed. No personal information or financial data is included in these analytics events.

Website sign-up form

If you voluntarily provide your name and email address through the sign-up form on our website, that information is stored by Kit (our email service provider) for the sole purpose of sending you product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Third-party services

The extension communicates with the Define Your Risk API server to retrieve market data. No personally identifying information is included in these requests. We do not sell, share, or provide any data to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
